Only three of the world’s top 25 golfers are in the field at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. That group is headline by world No. 3 Brooks Koepka, a three-time winner of the Byron Nelson and the defending U.S. Open champion. Koepka typically plays “tune-up” tournaments the week preceding a major.

Patrick Reed and Marc Leishman round out the golfers inside the world top-25 ranking, while the rest of the 2019 field includes names like Hideki Matsuyama, Henrik Stenson and Jordan Spieth, a Dallas native. Defending champion Aaron Wise, who won in 2018 at a course record 23-under par, is also playing.
Last but not least, you’ll notice another familiar name way down the leaderboard. Former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo is playing on a sponsor’s exemption, making his third career PGA Tour start (and is a 10,000-1 longshot at some sportsbooks).
